Before any flaming goes on, keep in mind that there are two main definitions on what an animal is.
One counts humans and one does not.

Personally, I'm very sure that humans are animals, and I consider us to be animals.
But some do not, so I started this topic on it.

I had my fun. but seriousness is setting in

I believe that humans are animals, but we've evolved more than other animals. We're still creatures of Earth and that makes us animals by my definition

Let's look at it this way:

Are humans living organisms? Yes.
Are humans prokaryotes? No.
Are humans fungi? No.
Are humans protists (dunno what the plural is)? No.
Are humans plants? No.

Therefore humans are animals. QED
